Meet Stan Hyt

My name is Stan Hyt and I’m running for the position of Sheriff of Nye County. I have a bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from San Diego State University. I have over 30 years experience as a Police Officer and Sergeant with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. I’m married to my lovely wife Danette of 26 years. Together we have four children and eight grandchildren.

I am a proud Christian that has given my life to Jesus Christ. I am so proud that our Country and our Constitution together were formed by God fearing forefathers using biblical principals to form our nation.

I’m a Constitutionalist, our Constitution is what defines our Republic and makes us unique from every other country in the world. The Constitution defines our civil liberties which we in the Nye County Sheriff’s Office are sworn to defend.

I’m a Patriot. I believe the United States is the greatest Nation in the world, and I believe in our Military and our Law Enforcement which is in place to protect our Constitutional Civil Liberties.

Finally, I’m a Conservative, and I believe in traditional American values, “A days work for a days pay”, and a man is a man and a woman is a woman.
