About Stan Hyt
First and foremost, I'm a "Christian" man. I feel it's important to say this because my faith in Christ is what governs my integrity, my behavior, and my ethics.
Second, I'm a "Patriot". I love our Military and I love our Police. I will stand for our Flag, and I will bow in prayer to our loving God.
Third, I am a "Conservative", I believe in our forefathers and our core American values, "a day's work for a day's pay."
Finally, I'm a "Constitutionalist". My oath is to the constitution of Nevada and the "People" it was designed to serve. We have a government that is bent on control rather than serving. As Sheriff my boss will be You, the voters and citizens. I am not seeking the Office of Sheriff for myself; I'm seeking it for "US" and our families.
I graduated College from San Diego State University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. Soon after in January of 1978 I was hired by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department and served 30 years with this department. I am married to my wonderful wife, Danette, and have been for the past 21 years.
The main goal of my campaign is to protect our civil liberties that government is slowly and quietly taking away. As your Sheriff I will stand up for your civil rights; no required vaccines, or masks, we will not allow our police department to be used to close down churches or small businesses due to mandates, we will not come for your guns. I believe in Constitutional carry; every law-abiding citizen has a right to own a gun for self-defense. Because of our current Sanctuary City policy, we will re-establish communication with Immigration leadership to deal with illegal immigrant law violators. We will not however conduct profiling to locate illegal immigrants as this is a violation of Constitutional law. During Elections we will post Officers at counting locations to ensure election integrity for all candidates.
Two additional goals of mine are to improve morale within the department and also to improve the image of the Police to the community. I want Policing to be fun again, and I want our community to respect, and feel safe when in contact with our Police Officers.
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. - Phil. 4:13
